[Suicidal Toast]

I think we should have our own cookbook. Everyone should post recipes they like here so I can make it into a book. It'll be great fun!

Kickin BBQ Tofu Hoagies

1 package reg firm or extra firm tofu, frozen, thawed and drained THOUROUGHLY
1/2 cup or so vegan BBQ sauce of your choice
4 sourdough sub rolls (check those ingredients!)
salt, pepper to taste
small amount of olive or organic canola oil for frying
Veganaise
sandwich veggie of choice, we use nice thick slices of avocado...
Earth Balance (non-hydrogenated vegan margarine), to toast those rolls

Directions:
Crumble the tofu into small pieces, squeezing while doing so, to get those last remnants of moisture out, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Heat oil in a small skillet, enough to coat the bottom of the pan, lightly, and toss in the tofu, stirring quickly to coat evenly. Pan fry the tofu, leaving it sit undisturbed for a few minutes between each turning, to get it nice and crisp when done, coat evenly with the sauce. In another skillet, griddle toast your sub rolls with a small amount of Earth Balance, and get them prepared, with Veganaise,and veggies. Pile the tofu on those rolls,and serve em up, VERY tasty, nice texture,and cheap and easy :-)

Mini pizzas from scratch

4 cups flour
1 cup lukewarm water
1 teaspoon salt
1 package yeast
2 teaspoons sugar
3 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

Mix flour, sugar, and salt together. Dissolve yeast in water and add to flour mixture. Stir until dough has absorbed all water then add olive oil. Mix until dough is not sticky, adding water or flour as necessary. Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes then place in a covered bowl on top of the stove (where it's warm) for 30 minutes. Pull the dough into several smaller balls and flatten them, making the middle deeper than the crust.

Top with sauce, cheese, and other toppings, then put it in the oven until cheese is melted. (About twenty minutes)

Here's mine taco meat

fist cook the meat in an a pan and cook it
wend it's all cooked add in ketcup, soy suase, salad dressing (your choose) I like ceaser, and green spices like organo.
Then let it simmer and eat.

Pizza

Dough:
4 cups of all purpose flour
2 tablespoons yeast
2 table spoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt.
1 1/2 cups warm water

Sauce:
1 16 oz, or 2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 tbs oregano
2 tbs basil
2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp olive oil

1 lb mozzerella cheese
Toppings of choice.

Start by mixing the flour, salt, and sugar in a large bowl. Mix the yeast into the warm water, until yeast is disolved. Add water to flour, and knead until dough is smooth. Coat with olive oil so prevent the dough from sticking the the bowl (be sure to add enough to form a shallow puddle at the bottom), and cover. Let rise 1-2 hours, or until dough smells fermented.

Sauce: in medium bowl, add sauce, paste, oregano, basil, red pepper, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Mix until well blended.

Preheat over to 500 degrees farenheit. Cut dough in half, and roll by hand, or with a rolling pin onto any shaped pan you'd like (don't toss, as this can rip the dough). Add sauce, mozerella, and toppings of choice. Put into oven, and cook for 12-14 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Let cool, and server.

Makes 2 pizzas.

And Li, no animals were used in this, except to make cheese, so I'm sure you'll like it.

Ingredients:
Bread slices
Toppings

Directions:
Put toast slices into toaster, one slice to a slot. Change setting to desired darkness. Push down the little handle. Once the handle comes back up, cover toast with desired topping.

What's weird is that there's a darkness setting to turn your toast into charcoal. Now who eat's charcoal?

Hey Li, instead of using margerine to grill the rolls, use olive oil. it'll get the same effect, but a differant flavor.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the toaster setting all the way up without starting a fire... I've gone through 3 toasters trying to do it.

take a palty and dump a ton of BBQ saurse while crooking them and umm cook it... it's yummy and bloody.

Easy but Elegant Veal Marsala
(Every time I've made this, it's turned out delicious!)

Ingredients:
1 to 1 1/2 pounds veal scaloppine or scallops
All purpose flour
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper
Dash ground ginger
1/2 cup Marsala wine
3 Tablespoones fresh chopped parsley

Preperation:
Heat butter and oil in a skillet over medium heat. Dredge veal in flour and brown quickly in butter and oil. Season with salt and pepper and a dash of ground ginger. Pour Marsala wine over veal and continue cooking until the wine is reduced to half. Turn the scallops once during this reduction. When the wine is reduced and meat is tender, remove scallops to a hot platter and keep hot. Add 1/4 cup chicken broth to the pan. Bring juices to a boil and add parsley. Pour juices over meat. Serve with rice.

Serves 4
