So, incase everyone doesn't know...I'm Ryo, a.ka. Alida and I've been gone the past few months...I'm at the U of I now, and I never imagined that I would have so much work...but anyway...
Tonight at dinner, the discussion of genetic cleansing was brought up.
Now, I'm not trying to start a war here, but I was wondering what your opinions are...
Please, no bashing, I honestly want an educated discussion here.
Thanks!

I've given it thought before. Seeking better genetic lines to create a more genetically superior breed of human. It'd probabally be okay for humanity in a genetic standpoint, however, at an ethical standpoint... it'd be a mental evolutionary deterioration. Look at Hitler, he believed he was doing Genetic Cleansing.
Then again, wild genetic variables can appear from the most unlikely strains sometimes, so...

Well...let me put some background into this discussion...
Here at the good old U of I my dorm is what is called a "living-learning community" which means the dorm, the RA's, MA's, DA's, food, the activities, even the residents are all geared toward a specific topic. In my case, my dorm is called GC --> Global Crossroads. I'm in the international dorm. The funny thing is, GC doesn't break stereotypes, it strengthens your basis for stereotypes.
The group I hang out with is very mixed, we have an Irishman, a South African, a Mexican, an African American, and German decendents. And then there's me, and I'm half Dutch. Rock out, we're the mixed group.
We talk about interratial relationships and genetic mutations, etc.
We just make fun of each other and bash on each others' stereotypes. It's actually a lot of fun because we also discuss the origins of the stereotypes.
All we've concluded so far is that ugly people and dumb people were a bad idea. ^~

Well, being a half-breed myself, I'd have to say that genetic cleansing is a bad idea. For the most part the so-called "perfect" genetic line is impossible. If we were to create a machine that kills people with genetic "imperfections", then we'd wipe out the entire planet.

The best genetics from each "Racial grouping". I don't believe its good either, but *shrug*.
