(If you'll check again, you'll find that Steel's shield is quite occupied by my own, even if he could get it by, it would take more time than he has. As for my firing angel: A) We're in space, remember? I could take any orientation. B) The three cannons are movable.
Steel's as dead as Abraham Lincoln (no offence, Lincoln fans). )

(If you'll check again, you'll find that Steel's shield is quite occupied by my own, even if he could get it by, it would take more time than he has. As for my firing angel: A) We're in space, remember? I could take any orientation. B) The three cannons are movable. Steel's as dead as Abraham Lincoln (no offence, Lincoln fans). ) I'm going to assume you didn't mean that statement. Because that's just...let's say wrong. 1. Your beam shield would repulse his. They are flattened beam sabers. They wouldn't get entangled. In fact, due to the force of the swing, both shields would have rebounded off one another. Just like a normal shield when struck by a war hammer. It wouldn't be 'occupied' with your own shield. He didn't attempt to pass it through your shield, he just moved it up. Even if it caught the bottom edge of your shield, it would still push your own shield up. And unless it is really small, Ellis, in such a scenario, your shield AND his would both block the shots. And if it is that small, then his larger shield would have overloaded yours. And that whole process? Barely a second. And in case you didn't notice, he was moving at the same time that he raised the shield. 2. Yeah, and the orientation you still held was above him. 3. But you didn't post that they moved, did you? He's still below you, pointing them downwards to target him would be stupid because your own beam shield would interfere with the shot. Not to mention, your arm would be in the crossfire. Further addendum: Even if the two of you were positioned together on the exact same plane, the Retaliation Mark II's shield is wrap-around, meaning that it covers everything except the back. By moving the shield upwards, it's field would rapidly expand its surface area until it reached maximum size again, at the very least catching part of the beam. He ain't dead. Not by a long shot.

1) As you say, they would bounce off of each other, that force from the beam shield translates into force against the Gundam's arm, meaning it would take time to slow down, stop, and pull the arm back in. True, this would take but a matter of moments, but when you consider the time it would take for a click of a button to send a signal traveling at 99% of the speed of light from the cockpit the beam cannons to fire, we're talking about time Steel just doesn't have.
2) Says who? Deciding my orientation is considered God Moding.
3) More assumption, the ReGZ's arm was extended to meet the apposing beam shield, not covering the chest. Also, of course the turrets are going to move, how else would they make the shot (your reeeealy reaching there.)

Well, I'd say you're dead... everyone else seems to have abdicated this fight....
