And all the while, Retal had kicked out his legs, sweeping Gunn's legs out from under him while he dropped his rifle and drew his PPK, squeezing off a full clip while Gunn's rounds tore through his opposite shoulder or passed within inches of him, as the loss of his stance ruined his shot. While falling, Cliffe hit the hole he'd blown in the ceiling earlier, and fell strait through, landing hard on his back when he hit the ground, all the while emptying his clip, and finally when he hits, he ejects the clip and drops it into the holster. He pulls his M4 up and aims at the roof above him, right at where Retal's fallen body would be. He unloads the remaining rounds in the clip, spraying the area.

Cliffe had always been trained to use the two handed firing stance, therefor, it was little work to sidestep a bit as the Tomohawk was thrown. The bulky weapon's blade, by pure luck, hit him in the shoulder on the blunt side, causing it to roll right off and continue on it's path, as Cliffe fired four more rounds from his .45 directly at Retal's head.

While Retal had been falling back like a maniac and distracted, Cliffe had used the Master Key to blow a decent sized hole in the floor. He'd hoisted himself up out of the hole onto the floor just as Retal came out into the hallway, facing forward, expecting him to still be underneath.
What he found was cold steel pressing against the back of his head. Cliffe's .45. Cliffe pulled the trigger at point-blank range to the head while his enemy was faced away from him.

As he had hoped, Gunn had been drawn to the noise. And thus, he was shocked when he shot missed completely. Retal had busted through the wall into another room, and thus when Gunn fired, he fired up into empty air. Putting away his pistol and tomahawk, Retal brought up his M4 into a firing position then aimed it down, returning Gunn's fire through the floor while he backed up slightly... What Retal didn't expect was that Cliffe was a quicker study than he had hoped. The next master key shot blew strait through the floor in front of him sending a blast of buckshot strait for his chest as Cliffe rolled to the left, and out the door, where Retal's vertical stream of automatic fire wouldn't hit him.

Drawn to the noise, Gunn heads up to the second floor. Walking from room to room, he carefully listens, untill finally he locates the right room, directly beneathe Retal's current hiding place.
He aims the M4 up after replacing his .45 and knife to their holsters. He slides his hand up to the Master key. He squeezes off one full blast of buckshot through the floor. The second round comes up right after, and then a third and fourth, anywhere he could be near the wall, blasting up through the floor.

Cliffe moved slowly through the lobby towards the staircase, not wanting to bother with the elevator, despite the windows in the stairwells, he still preferred the manual approach, and it gave him the abbility to have an escape route if needed, be it a jump or a fast rope out of a window.
Cliffe slung his M4, drawing his Colt 1911 .45, and slipping his knife out of it's sheathe, preparing to stalk his enemy until the perfect time.

Retal, however, was already croutching down, knowing that the sniper couldn't see his position exactly, and was using the time available to him wisely. He let his M4 hang, and now he held both his Colt and PPK in hand. He quickly used some subtle sleight of hand to queitly open up one of the apartments after crawling up to the door, and slinked inside, praying that one of his many apparent stalkers would get stupid and start coming for him...for one the third floor, there was plenty to give you away... Immediately as his feet touched ground he took a heavy pull on the rope, getting it loose, and stuffing it back into the pouch. After that, he drew up his rifle. He knew he'd probably be walking right into an ambush, but he was equipped for close quarters, thanks to his Master Key.
He moved quickly alokng the open space, carefuly to check in every dirrection. After getting to his destination, he kicked in the front door and ran in, preforming a quick check. His eyes slid back and forth quickly, darting through every hiding place in the lobby. No sign. His enemy was probably still on the upper floors, holding out in a room.

Cliffe pulled his M4 onto his back and rolled onto his stomach, carefully crawling to a better vantage point. Finally, reaching a cooler on the far end of the roof, he sits up, covered by it. He slips around the edge and aims his rifle down towards the staircase window, allowing to get a better view of the staircase itself. He uses his right hand to aim the rifle down, so Retal won't catch the glare from the scope and get wise to his position. He slowly lowers his monocule, flipping on thermal to survey the landing better.
The thermal check revealed nothing that Cliffe could tell was human. He snapped his head back and the monocule popped up. He leaned back on the wall a bit, and shouldered his rifle again. Only one way he was going to get his prey now; searching the building.
He reached into the small pouch at the base of his left leg, wrapped around his left boot. From it, he produces a long black rope he fixes to a leg of the air conditioner. He then lowers himself onto the part of the building that gives him cover from Retal's position, firing one shot through the open window, near the staircase, in an attempt to leave the impression that he was still on the roof, as he repelled downward.

At almost that exact moment, Retal's elevator had reached floor three, and he got out of that and headed for the staircase, intending to get up to the roof... And Cliffe was waiting for him. He had immediately headed for the stairs as soon as he went into the building, knowing a sniper's sole goal is to obtain a vantage point.
Cliffe was sitting with his legs flat on the ground, leaning on the edge of the roof, aiming towards the building Retal was heading up. He sat there, silent, waiting. Suddely he caught a view of Retal running up the stairs. He realized that each stairwell had a window. Sitting, with his scope waiting on the next window, counting the seconds away that it takes Retal to get up the stairs, he squeezes off two preemptive shots, taking into the equation Retal's running speed, the two rounds would arrive at his head and chest just as he turned the corner up into the stairwell.
Rather than see if his shots hit, he drops back onto his back, pulling the rifle close, making himself an impossible target, even if his muzzle flash had been seen.

As soon as Cliffe was able to open his eyes again he found that he was standing near building 3, on the northern edge. His training taking over, he immediately slaps his back against the wall, moving to the edge silently to pop his head out around for a second for a quick look. His view from here gave him nothing. He kicked his head forward, dropping the thermal monocule down, and he checked the area a second time, to no avail.
Shit.
Cliffe had been hoping to pick off a few kills early in the game, but he found that his adverseries were likely to be well hidden. He ran around the edge of the building, checking the roof behind him to make sure no sniper sat up there, waiting for him to walk into view. In doing so, he spies Retal's muzzle flash, and instinctively sends a three round burst in after him, and another through the wall, one shot at about head height, the next about chest height, and the third towards where the stomach would be in a standing position, or where the head would be in a crouch.
He managed to fire off these six shots with pinpoint accuracy before slamming his back into the front door of Building three, knocking it open, allowing him to run backwards inside, turning to check his back after getting inside and grabbing some cover.

Hello all... been awhile.
I agree with Libra here. It's done, and it's not going to change anytime soon. There's a new bar, and most of the people there are happy with it, unfortunately. The last thing we can really hope for is peaceful coexistence. Diplomacy, of sorts.
To all those in the new bar, I say this. I don't give a shit. In fact, I haven't given a shit for a very long time now. To be honest, right up to the point that Li went kamakaze, I was just fine. I popped in to see how things were going, and popped back out. All of a sudden people were mad with Mav because he chose to impliment a few rules on the board. So what?
A few rules is a very small fuckin' price to pay for a place you spend half your time anyway. So he wants to be notified and consulted, then notify and consult with him. I, for one, never had a problem with the way the bar was, or became. I just got lazy and stopped posting. Wasn't because I stopped liking the atmosphere, or the people, it was because I had other things to do.
It seems like so much happened in my abscence, but in reality, it was really nothing but a big pile of steaming bullshit. Li got pissed off, Cyg and Ellis started a new board with a group of people. Rather, the majority of people in the bar, which pissed off everybody else.
My only question here is, why? We had a bar. We had alcohol. We had bloodshed. What the fuck was wrong with that? For Li, it was because she wanted a place for all of us oldies. Well too damn bad. Those were the old days. We had our fun, and it was a hell of a lot of fun, but that time's over. New blood comes in all the time. Personally, I've got no problem with the new blood whatsoever.
Cyg's damned hardheaded, and fucking irritating, but she has her good qualities. Ellis... ah, Hell, I always liked Ellis. Aries, despite being a back-assward retard up shit creek without a paddle, arms, or legs, is still a good man. I really can't think of anything truly bad to say about any member of the bar. The only ones that were really bad, we got rid of. Char, EHS, the retard trio. Other than that, everybody was pretty much A-okay in my book.
So tell me, why all the hostility? It was a damned fun place to be. Everybody had their little niche, and we all just played along and had fun. What in the fuck was wrong with that, anyway?
