I understand your position, Gredival. I also understand that you are not quite the tyrant that you were made out to be. I apologize if I have offended you.

Many of you may know me, or may have heard of me. I'm that evil dictator guy that those awful stories some of the "veterans" here may have passed down. Now well it's your choice to listen to what I have to say or not, now knowing who I am and how likely it is I'm lying Anyhoo, I doubt anyone did anything on purpose to cause this. Pointing fingers solves absolutely nothing. You're being children about this by insulting each other and blaming each other. I have no idea of the true gravity of what Li has done - true enough. But put it all in smegging perspective here people. They are boards. Threads. Bytes of data. Most of the recent stuff is probably recoverable via your caches. I'm not condoning what she did - it's a grave abuse of powers given to staff. But I think you all need to realize something here. It isn't your board. Really Mav's trying to run things democratically, and I give him props. But really you all need to realize this. Boards. Are. Tyrannies. It is based in the nature of the system. You have a website administrator that rules over all. If you don't like it. There's your door. You may be right, and he may be wrong. But guess what? When the sun sets down, who's stuck outside? Moreover instead of blindly accusing your admin you might profit from opening discussion about this. There's more to a situation than who to blame. Did ANY OF YOU give a thought to why she would do something like this? Instead of just labeling her an immature and irresponsible snot. The fact is she's a person. That entails emotions. Moods. Can any of you guess at her mental psyche at this time. It's pretty damn shattered. So maybe instead of calling out for BLOOD AND MUTINY maybe you should create a HEALTHY forum of discussion between your grievances and the people you are complaining about. And don't think I'm letting the admin off either. Mav perhaps it would be best to explain why in this situation you still don't think it's necessary to remove her from the boards? Especially to the people who devote their own time and effort to help you run the boards, even if the matter involves two of your own against each other. Maybe you wouldn't have driven away your members and part of your staff if you had consulted them. True it's a dictatorship and it's your choice. But was it necessary to strip part of your staff of any essential power he has by revoking his decisions without consultation? And as far as what started it all... really, elitism is bad. Newbies = good. Everyone was a newbie. Veteran status means nothing. You can still be dumb as bricks. However... people have a right to be elitist. It's much more effective to criticize in a nice way and try motivate change, then to snap and such. And wow that took a smegging long time to write so I sincerely do hope no one deletes this. Adeiu~ My feelings in a nutshell: Gredival, no doubt you've been monitoring and awaiting this moment. I can understand that, seeing how, according to everyone, you've had it in for the place and everyone in it since day 1. Now, I would like to know, why is it that you "hate" the MSPB so much? It's nothing personal, I'm just very curious. Indeed, a board is just bytes of data. However, some people feel very strongly about their boards. No doubt that if this same thing happened at AX, you'd be screaming bloddy murder. Li felt strongly enough that she deleted half of the boards accounts, forums, and posts. In some aspects, I do side with her, but the fact is, she went over the top. People can be displeased with that. People have been banned from AX and G.com for much less then what was done here. (Although, in light of these recent events, that's not saying much.) The fact is, we just happen to be another message board on the countless numbers of bytes in cyber space. We're no competition to AX, and, in fact, some here are active posters there. There is absolutely no reason to come in here, and demean everyone with your "higher-than-thou" attitude. Don't hate something because it exists, hate it because of what it does. So far, this place has not done anything to you. Therefore, your hate is unfounded and totally childish. Would you go to Gundamwatch/Animemech and demean everyone there? Then, why pick on this place? Because it's small? There are boards with half the members we once had. And, no doubt, AX and G.com started out very small, too. Now, in the event that Li called you here on your behalf, tell her that I (somewhat) sympathize with her. I didn't totally like where the Bar was headed, either. But, there are other ways to go about it then going on a rampage. As you said, Gredival, "There's the door..." Tell Li that I'm sorry if I've done anything as well, and also tell her that my brother sends his apologies as well. She'll know who I mean. (Yes, that was one Hell of a nutshell, but if I hadn't "watered-down", it would have been even longer.)

*A light suddenly goes on.* I knew it! I knew something about Raven wasn't quite right! *NM gets back on topic.* It's hard to go one way or the other on this one. Raz is, well, Raz, as Wag so correctly pointed out. You can't totally change a person. I agree, Raz could be an ass, but he could also be tolerated at times. Raven wasn't the flamboyant, overly-aggressive/sadistic Raz that he was in the past... for the most part.
