Come on, Libra, I challenge you. Been a long time since last we fought...
I porpose we both have a little fun and settle this th old fashioned way. Our battlefield will be a deserted Washington D.C., and we will both use Deathscythe Gundams.
Do you accept my challenge?

*runs by with the Lizard chasing him.....* What Deathscythe though? The original Deathscythe or Deathscythe Hell or the Custom? OOC: The original Deathscythe IC: Retal lands atop the Pentagon in the Deathscythe Gundam. He draws the beam scythe and activates it, the blade and the Gundam's eyes casting an erie green glow over the local area. "Come on, little Libra, uncle Retal wants to cut you in two one last time..."

*one of the buildings seperate, a green flash is the only thing seen before a dark mobile suit pops out of the innards. The mobile suit is jet black with yellow trim, the originally white sections now a smoke grey. The Deathscythe lands about 50 feet in front of the havoc it came out of, standing proudly in it's night stealth colors*
Alright, Retal. But I'll just let you know that you've stepped onto my home turf. And I plan on eliminating winning from your options. I will admit, this suit is not perfect, but in the hands of an expert...
*Libra grips the controls, and then loosens*
...it can be very, very deadly.
*Libra begins to put his hair back in a braid*
I'll just let you know that you won't forget this battle, no matter what the outcome is.
*I finish off the braid as I tie it at the end. I place my old Mets hat on, as I tape the pictures of a few people in my life to the cockpit- Jenna, my first love; Aaron, my best friend, and 'brother'; Camilla, the girl I hurt, yet care too much about to let go; Rion, a loyal friend to the end of life itself; Vel, a caring friend and my first recruited Deputy; and Rose, my second caring Deputy, one that only wants the best for me, and won't let me become what I fear to become most*
You'll get your fight's worth, and I'll let you know that I'm fighting for all my friends. All of those who believe in me, who are trying to have me better myself in life. Those who won't let me fall, and those who will pick me up if I have fallen. You'll get something much better than experienced at OYW, better than the Deathscythe Overload battle against your Retaliation, better than the training simulation between the Retaliation and the Endless Retaliation, and possibly better than any brawl you've experienced in this here bar. You won't be disappointed.
*The Deathscythe eases its stance, as it turns it's body to the left. It raises its right arm mounted sheild in a somewhat defensive position with the right hand open, showing no tension. It slowly draws its beam scythe with its left hand, the pole extends, and a concetrated green light of destruction emits at a 90 degree angle from its tip. The Deathscythe straightens out it's stance, as it fires a quick burst from its head vulcans and starts a running strafe to its left*

Hmm, perhaps. But then again, you've only seen a third of my entire military/dueling career.
*the vulcan rounds just harmlessly bounce off the Deathscythe's armor*
You know as well as I do Libra that vulcan rounds have no hope of penetrating Gundanium at anything more than melee range. I do hope this will be better than our previous bouts, but, I doubt this battle will be anything like those I've had in the Digital Plane...
A quick thruster burn gets the Deathscythe off of the Pentagon to land in the street below. Several military vehicles ty and stop his progress, a threat Retal responds to by simply stepping on the lot of them. At a full dead run, Retal takes his own Deathscythe and runs right at Libra, getting ready to slice and dice...

*I turn and fire my machine cannons at the incoming Deathscythe*
"No damage to the suit..." Libra thought, "Unless I manage to punch through something crucial"
*I raise the right arm of my Deathscythe and I activate the first step to my Beam Scissors. The blades open and the beam emits with a powerful glow. I retract my beam scythe as I charge towards Retal, taking a cautious backhanded swing*

He holds the blade of his beam scythe downwards as he prepares for his countermove, using his own shield to block the machinecannon rounds coming in at him. And when Libra began his backhanded swing, Retal finally moved. From his perspective, the shield was on the other Deathscythe's right arm, and thus, when Libra swung, Retal neatly sidestepped to the left, firing off his right shoulder vernier to get him out of the way faster. Then, with Libra's scythe retracted, and his scissors out of position, leaving his very vulnearable to counter attack, Retal drew his own beam scythe back, then sliced forwards and up with it, slicing at Libra from below with a right-to-left diagonal slash from below...

This should be fun to watch, since both Gundam's can take alot of pounding before things start going wrong, also, I watched the DeathScythe lose its arm today when it was captued.

Big mistake, Retal. *As Retal sidesteps to the left, I grin at his mistake. As he swings his scythe upwards with the right-to-left diagonal slash, I lengthen my scythe again and the blade emits with a brilliant glow. I raise my beam sissors to block the incoming scythe blade* You went left, to my right, where my scissors are. You gotta remember, I switched up the shield for a reason- I'm left handed, everything is backwards to me. *as the blades impact, I swing my left arm and the scythe towards Retal's MS, the scythe cutting along a path horizontal to his MS's midsection. I also focus my vulcan fire on the face of his MS*

I also focus my vulcan fire on the face of his MS* Retal, however, had anticipated this maneuver. Like all close-combat loving warriors, Retal had expected Libra to cut across with his scythe, and thus, was ready to counter it. As Libra's swung his scythe in, Retal opened his buster shield, and stabbed its blade tip into the head of Libra's extended scythe, cutting it off at the head. The blade cut a minor groove in the Gundam's torso armor before it deactivated, the severed head rebounding off the Gundam's chest. To counter the vulcan fire, Retal bent the Deathscythe's head down, as well as the torso, and then fired off his backpack vernier, intending to ram Libra's Deathscythe backwards. The vulcan rounds hammered away at the head, but its tough Gundanium armor withstood the barrage, although the vulcans read damage, the extent being unknown. But as his Gundam rushed forward, as the buster shield sliced apart Libra's scythe, Retal kept the buster shield moving onward, straight at the torso of Libra's Deathscythe... "You fell for my trap, kiddo, hook, line, and sinker. Sorry, but you've been disarmed." Retal said jubilantly... OOC: And seeing as you committed your scythe to that attack, there wouldn't be any way to avoid it...

Not enough to completely dodge the tackle, but enough to get out of the direct line of impact. The Deathscythe places its left arm in a position to catch the right arm, and then raises its right arm and punches straight towards the cockpit, buster sheild open, blade emitting beautifully. As it punches, it ignites its thrusters to increase the damage of impact, and make the chance of survival nearly impossible* Retal, you took the scythe... ... ...but you still had Death to deal with.

As it punches, it ignites its thrusters to increase the damage of impact, and make the chance of survival nearly impossible* Retal, you took the scythe... ... ...but you still had Death to deal with. OOC: Ahh, nice....you let me survive your own attack... IC: Retal, however, was already being forced into a unintended evasive maneuver. You see, when Libra's Gundam sidestepped to the left, he altered the point of impact, making his suit act as a falcrum for Retal's own Deathscythe as it tried to ram him. The end result was that when Retal's suit made contact with the torso of Libra's Deathscythe, its right shoulder was caught, and the entire suit swung around, causing the buster shield to tear through the flank of Retal's Deathscythe, moving on through to slice into the servos for the Gundam's right leg as well. But it quite clearly missed the cockpit. Knowing he had a perfect shot opportunity, Retal counterattacked immediately. He launched his own buster shield at point-blank range into the upper torso of Libra's Deathscythe, simultaneously swinging his own scythe across the knee joints of Libra's Gundam as Retal's suit dropped into a one-knee standing position due to its bum leg...

OOC: Ahh, nice....you let me survive your own attack... Actually, I choose to let my opponent acknowledge that they are finished. I just feel that due to the proximity of both suits, and the fact that we both were charging, you wouldn't have been able to dodge my attack. Yes, you had your buster shield open and ready to impact with my torso, but I strafed to the side just enough to where when you thrusted, the center of your mobile suit lined up with my right arm, keeping the rest parralel. Due to the location of our shields, yours would have been on the arm opposite of the side I strafed to. And with the speed of two Deathscythes going head on, there would literally be NO time to really react. The speed of one charging would leave time to react, but two head on is a completely different story. I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to admit defeat.
