<OOC: As much as I should point out that a heavier unit with less rocket thrust should by no means have better acceleration...>
Good little cat. Chase the mouse right into the dog's den, Manae thinks to himself.
Though slightly chagrined that nuclear-heated gases lack the neccessary temperature to do anything to the Regolith, he's not distracted from the task at hand. Manae returns his saber and cuts his thrust, beginning to fall as the muzzle flash of Steel's vulcans brightens the harsh landscape.
Having fallen below the path of the rounds, Manae brings out his beam rifle and fires three shots as Steel passes overhead.

The acceleration of my suit is fine, as it has a lower max gross weight than yours by about 10 tons. That makes a big differance, and I used the calculation for acceleration to get it right aswell. So what is your problem? IC: Steel simply boosts left as the beams go flying past his right.
He then quickly comes down onto the ground while placing his Beam Saber back in it's recharge rack and withdrawing his Beam Rifle.

So what is your problem? <OOC: At the moment, there's not much wrong, though you'd have a hard time gaining any major ground. Maximum acceleration is a calculation based on dry weight, not fully-loaded. If you can accelerate faster dry then fully loaded, the acceleration of the fully-loaded MS isn't its maximum, now is it?> Manae takes a boost jump, landing in the HLV bay of the base below.

For instance, if you do the acceleration calculations for the GP02A given the max gross weight and booster output in total, it gives you the max acceleration shown at MAHQ. IC: Steel waits for Manae to do another move while he engages the Dom hover system.

<OOC: Damn fool way to do things, but such as things are... In anycase, I should have done at least a little math with this. Some engineer I made in designing that...>
Manae looks at his sensors.
Ahh, good. Tanks are back to normal operating temperatures, he thinks, then looks about the base. Damn homely place, this.

Manae starts to get a little impatient inside the base. He was being such a good boy and chasing before, what was so different this time...?

Eh, talk about a bore... Manae thinks.
He fires three shots out of the HLV hangar's canopy before firing up his thrusters to make his exit.

He fires three shots out of the HLV hangar's canopy before firing up his thrusters to make his exit. Steel turns to look at the 3 shots blast out from below the ground at a fair distance."I take it he is signaling that he is on his way out....or he is signalling me to come down there. I think I will wait here."

Manae bursts out of the elevator shaft on the opposite side of Steel, firing three shots towards his backside before ejecting the spent e-pac.

Manae bursts out of the elevator shaft on the opposite side of Steel, firing three shots towards his backside before ejecting the spent e-pac. Steel is alerted by the explosion, and sees the incoming beams, so he simply side-steps to the side allowing the beams to fly past him before zooming off along the ground to close up on Manae.

Manae again boosts, following low across the ground away from Steel, allowing him to follow in his dusty wake. While laying light vulcan fire down on the ground in front and to the sides of the Regolith to keep it on its toes, he hits a switch. The Physalis automatically locks the rifle in the sheild long enough to install a fresh e-pac.

Thus keeping safe from the vulcan fire."I havn't got all day you know."

Hmpf. If you're so bored, just stand and take it and stop complaining.
Manae's targeting sensor flashes a solid lock on the immobile suit, and he takes a shot with his beam rifle before running towards the Regolith.
