From what I've gone over, the events seem to have transpired as such:
1- Manae stops moving. A.- Steel attempts to move behind him.
2- Manae boosts more or less strait into the air, firing several beams above Steel. A.- Steel also boosts more or less strait into the air. i.- Steel moves into the beams and is hit by one or more.
I'll leave it up to Steel to decide the amount of damage.

OOC: Slight question though. If the beams were aimed down to where I was, and not where I was moving, Wouldn't the beams pass just below me?

OOC: If I may try and use an analogy.
Steel: Imagine you have a handful of pebbles and you throw them all at a spot on the ground as hard as you can. Even though you were aiming for that spot, the pebbles still spread out.
Also, it's a friggin' Mod ruling. Take it or leave it. And by leave it, I mean go up in firey beam death.

You're not reading carefully enough, Steel. Manae fired those beams above you. When you took off into the air, you flew right into them.

OOC: He said from above though. Not at above me, but from above, which could mean he was 10 miles away (exageration), but slightly higher than me, which means above me.
And firing that beam rilfe quick enough to create a blanket of fire would cause it to. A.) Generate alot of heat, maybe slightly less than a Sniper Rifle, but close to it. B.) Uses alot of power from the E-Pac. C.) Can cause the rifle to become damaged due to the high change in heat levels, with the constant cooling and heating of rapid fire.
Heck, even machineguns struggle with giving a constant rate of fire without something breaking or over-pressuring.

The wording was wrong, so I give Steel the benefit of the doubt on that. However, based on the overall action and intent, Manae IS firing OVER your head, Steel. The beam fire may cause heating, but that isn't the issue. The issue is it IS fired above the head, which Manae has straightened out. I'm no mod in here, but I suggest Steel redo his move all over.

If Ellis or Manae agrees with that, I will re-do my move.

I already said you could redo your move.

Manae, can you do a quick Shit-paint-image-job showing me where you are and where I am and the direction of fire?

OOC: Ok, thankyou.
IC: Steel performs barrel-roll to the left, which brings him immidiatly out of the fire from Manae.

Ejecting the spent E-Pac, Manae stores the rifle. Charging towards the Regolith with vulcans flaring, his beam saber flashes out.

IC: Steel just raises his shield to take the shots and puts his Rifle next to his shield (on the right of the shield).
Meanwhile, he settles down on the ground while keeping his boosters warm.
He then pumps off 2 quick shots from his Beam Rifle at the targeted Gundam.

<OOC: Well, charging towards you from where I was in the air, but I'd reach the ground before reaching you.>
Manae uses a small burst of rockets to the side to avoid each beam, then takes a stab towards the Regolith's sheild, upper center.
